As a child the sea would ceaselessly extend
But now he knows, just where it ends.
He used to wonder where did all the seagulls go?

I was lost in a dream in a trance
In the wonder of each breath
Gazing at the sea while laying on the sand
I used to hope and I longed sitting dreaming
Of the day when I would start to understand
Now I’m grown and I know everything I hoped to know
But the meaning is lost on me

Beg forgiveness of that boy by the sea

THE VOYAGE
Standing waiting on the sands
Try though he might, he cannot hold it in his hands

Storm billows thundering roll swiftly from the west
Loom and gloom whilst the sun slowly sets

Waves unleash darkened seas breaking free
They are crashing on the bow
And I feel that fear that I’ve longed to know
The water’s wolves taking hold
They are tearing at this boat and I feel that fear begin to grow

They’ve torn a hole in my soul and like a stone
I am sinking down into the deeps below
What have I lost? Is it the cost, of gaining everything I thought
I wanted? I don’t know. I don’t know.
